Authorization

American College of Education is able to enroll residents in most states in online courses and programs via the Internet as an accredited distance education institution. State boards of education vary widely in their regulation of educator preparation and licensure programs. It is, therefore, extremely important that applicants verify with their own state board of education and school district that the program they desire will be recognized for career advancement and/or salary benefit. American College of Education is currently authorized or licensed to operate in IL, IN, FL, GA, LA, TX, and WI.

Student Complaint Process

Any student who has filed a complaint with American College of Education, following the Complaint or Arbitration/Dispute Resolution procedures published in the Graduate Catalog, who believes the complaint has not been satisfactorily resolved, has the right to refer the complaint to the higher education regulatory agency in the student’s home state. Any student with an unresolved complaint may able refer the complaint to American College of Education’s accreditor, The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (312-263-0456).
