Welcome to the Graduate School of Education
Message from the Provost
At the Graduate School of Education, our objective is to provide affordable, high-quality teacher
education through current, evidence-based instruction. We empower educators to significantly improve
student performance. Solely through partnership with America's public schools, we offer graduate degree
programs in an innovative instructional model that is focused on results.
Our coursework is delivered to students in an accelerated blended instructional model that encompasses
both online and offline learning, real-world applications through field experiences, and clinical
practice. The Master of Education degree programs consist of a total of 48 quarter credits.
The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction enhances professional practice in teaching,
with particular attention to curriculum design, innovative instruction, and the role of assessment
in planning and delivering instruction. The Master of Education in Educational Leadership prepares
education professionals for administrative and supervisory positions in P-12 schools. Both
programs combine a rigorous curriculum with an advanced delivery system to enable our students
to undergo a rigorous learning experience within the context of their own schools.
Our highly qualified department chairs and faculty bring a wealth of experience as well as
scholarly practice to our programs. I know you will find them to be consummate professionals
who want your experience with our graduate school to be the very best it can be.
