We are committed to providing you with the resources you need to better serve your students. Below you will find a number of resources to help you. Some are free, some offer free trials, and others require a subscription.

Because education is a team effort, please share these valuable classroom tools with your peers. Also, let us know about any online resources that you have found helpful so that we may continue to help teachers help students even more.

The U.S. Department of Education's www.free.ed.gov is full of tools, tips and lesson plans stretching across a variety of disciplines.

Browse through the Library of Congress Teachers Page for over ten million primary sources along with guides of how to use them and much, much more.

For those with children in the Chicago area, check out the Chicago Public Library's events calendar for loads of fun educational activities for kids of all ages.

The New York Times Learning Network is a regularly updated site that combines "All the News That's Fit to Print" with exciting learning activities.

The History Channel's History Classroom is full of fun and interactive resources for teaching history to all ages.

Washington D.C.'s Newseum is an interactive museum focusing on journalism. This is a great way to teach geography, language and even current events.

Learn to Be Healthy is a free online resource that provides physical and mental health science education for students K-12.

Apple's Mobile Learning page describes bringing technology into the classroom and provides tools for mobile learning. Scroll to the bottom for some free and some not so free educational applications to download to your iPod or iPhone.

Thinkport.org is a site built for Maryland educators but it's full of free resources, including videos about how to incorporate technology into your classroom.

Explore Learning A-Z.com for free samples of online reading and writing resources.

Ticket to Read ® is a web-based reading program for K-6 students that provides reading passages, activities, and games for all ability levels. Sign up for a 14-day free trial today.

Reading A-Z provides thousands of printable books, lesson plans, and worksheets to teach guided reading and key reading skills.

Teacher Planet features over 350 theme-based resource pages.

ExploreLearning's Gizmos are really cool, web-based math and science simulations. Give students the "a-ha!" moments to last a lifetime.
