Dr. Alexis M. Kensinger is joining the Department of Leadership and Administration as a part time Adjunct Faculty member. Dr. Kensinger is an accomplished professional with a well-rounded background in education, encompassing instructional and academic administration at all levels, including Special Education and organizational leadership. She is recognized for her leadership strengths in building partnerships in the field of education, as well as in the private sector, by establishing strategies and attaining organizational goals. She currently serves as a mentor and resource for teachers, academic administrators and graduate students, providing coaching and guidance to support them in enhancing their professional skills. Dr. Kensinger is passionate about “passing the torch” in education while mentoring students to be their personal best. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Leadership from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She completed her Ph.D. at Northcentral University in the Philosophy of Education with an Emphasis in Organizational Leadership. In her free time, she enjoys living, skiing, hiking, biking and camping in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, as well as traveling to and providing support for various schools around the globe.
