Deborah Gilbert, Ed.D.

Dr. Deb Gilbert hails from upstate New York and has taught in New York, Indiana, and South Carolina. In addition to classroom experience, she has worked with low-performing schools as a state curriculum specialist. She holds many awards in teaching, and is a National Board Certified Teacher.
Dr. Gilbert’s passion is helping teachers to use engaging, creative strategies that promote student learning and literacy. Her published articles include: Professional Development is Not a Bitter Pill and Technology in the Classroom: A Novel Approach.
When not involved in education activities, Dr. Gilbert likes to travel, write, and work with glass. She has lived in Spain and traveled throughout Europe.
