Joe Clark is the superintendent of the Nordonia Hills City School District in Northfield, Ohio. In his 29 years in the field of education he has worked as a high school English teacher, a high school assistant principal, a middle school principal, a personnel director, an assistant superintendent and superintendent. Joe also spent ten years as a summer camp director and 24 years as a mobile disc jockey. These jobs inspired his book If the Dance Floor Is Empty, Change the Song (and other lessons for educators from a former DJ), due to be published in the spring of 2020.
Joe earned his BA, M.Ed and Ph.D. from Kent State University. He is the author of If the Dance Floor Is Empty, Change the Song: A Superintendent's Spin on Making Schools Rock. His dissertation was titled A Legislative and Judicial Analysis of Sexual Relationships between American Secondary Students and Their Teachers. Joe is married to Amie and has two adult sons. Joe is the youngest of eleven children.
