Joshua Strate, Ed.D.
Adjunct Faculty,
Department of Teaching and Learning
I join the Department of Professional Educational Studies as an adjunct and am very excited! Prior to this, I have attended Florida Atlantic University and obtained an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Biological Sciences. I studied the impact science education had on both middle grade’s science students and their retention of content. Prior to teaching, I paid for my education working part time at Home Depot and full time as a K-12 educator. After graduation, I worked as a middle grade’s educator in Florida, Environmental educator in Central Florida, and created a Saturday Science program for students to enjoy science on the weekends. I currently in southern Florida with my wife and two children. I am happy to help future educators further their practice in education as well as educational endeavors.
