Dr. Lisa Marie Portugal, Ph.D.

Dr. Lisa Marie Portugal holds a PhD in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, a Master’s of Education in Educational Business Administration – Human Resources from American College of Education, a Master’s of Education in Health and Wellness Education from American College of Education, a Master’s of Arts in Education in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts & Fine Arts. She is currently working on an Ed.D. in Public Health Education from American College of Education with degree pending completion in June, 2023. In addition, she has completed 42 credits in the Doctor of Management in Executive Leadership from Colorado Technical Institute.
She is a personal and professional life coach, peer-reviewed author, book author, university professor, PhD dissertation chair, doctoral committee member, and faculty supervisor to teacher candidates. She instructed coursework at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels for various U.S. universities and in the United Kingdom. Dr. Portugal was nominated for the 2020 Celebrity Award Program in the categories of: (1) Fostering an Environment of Diversity and Inclusion; (2) Classroom Performance; (3) Teamwork; (3) Stewardship; (4) Innovation / Creativity; and (5) Professional Contributions. She was nominated for the 2017 Instructional Excellence Award in the Instruction Category.
