Mamzelle Adolphine, Ph.D.

Mamzelle Adolphine received her Ph.D. from Capella University in 2008. Her study focuses on how school empowerment impacts organization for instruction.
She holds a Masters in International and Intercultural Management. She is a New York City Teaching Fellow who has a Master of Science in Education and she holds a BA from New York University where she graduated as an Honors Scholar.
She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mauritania, West Africa as a Small Business Development Consultant.
She has worked both as a teacher and trainer on the elementary school level providing technology training to her peers and providing students with a foundation in technology literacy and she has served on various school committees.
She joined the faculty of the American College of Education in 2010. In addition to her work at the College, she is a Staff Developer Consultant for Morningside Center, helping schools plan and implement a curriculum-based Social and Emotional Learning program.
She serves as a member of her community’s board Education Committee and as the facilitator for her community garden.
She presented at the ASCD 2013 Conference in Chicago, both as an individual presenter and as an ASCD Forum Speaker, and served as a Professional Interest Community Leader for the ASCD Edge group: School Improvement.
Her webinar "Culturally Responsive Teaching," presented on 5/12/2020 and hosted by Kappa Delta Pi, was the most highly attended for that time of the year.
She also converted her webinar "Using Presence to Move F2F Learning Online," presented on 8/24/2020 and hosted by Kappa Delta Pi, into an ebook, which can be bought here.
She has added the role of UX Designer to her experience tool kit and was a member of an Empathy Jam 2018 team that won a design prize for inclusiveness and accessibility.
