Dr. @Maricela Helm is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Leadership & Administration. She has worked in education for more than 20 years with degrees from Southwest Texas State and Texas A&M Commerce. She began her career as a teacher, transitioned into an ESL Specialist, and then Dean of Instruction. She currently serves as the proud principal for George W. Bush Elementary; a two way Dual Language Campus in Wylie Texas.
Recently, Maricela has been working closely with a team of educators developing Social Emotional Learning modules and Leadership Training for teachers and aspiring administrator’s personal development. Maricela volunteers as a mentor for bilingual college students in the field of Education. She enjoys, yoga, reading fiction, mystery podcasts, and spending time with her two boys and husband Matt. She is thrilled to be supporting future Principals and joining the ACE team!
