Dr. Marsha Phelps has extensive experience in urban education, as well as industry experience in marketing and finance. Blending her industry and educational experiences, Dr. Phelps served as Vice President of Academic Affairs for a city college of Chicago and as full-time consultant and coordinator for the Illinois State Board of Education where she has trained teachers to prepare curriculum for 21st century secondary career programs.
Dr. Phelps is a certified, experienced teacher and has taught students of all ages. She possesses endorsements in secondary English, cooperative education, business, marketing, and entrepreneurship. In spite of her various experiences teaching adults, she has learned more from her fifth-graders than from all of her other institutions combined!
