Dr. Mary W. Strong has served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and elementary school principal in public schools. Before joining the faculty at American College of Education, she taught at Iowa State University in the Curriculum and Instruction Department and at Widener University in the Reading Department.
Dr. Strong co-authored a book on the topic of literacy coaching and has published over 20 other articles on literacy instruction and leadership in state, national, and international journals. She is presently a board member of the Language Experience Special Interest Group in the International Reading Association and has served on the editorial review board of the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy.
