Dr. Nadira Jack is the Chief Academic Officer/Superintendent of Jersey City Global Charter School which she co-founded and developed in 2013. She is also founder of the non-profit organization, The Institute of Intellectual Innovation (i3) and author of the book, The Pedagogy of Consciousness.
Dr. Jack is a former elementary and middle school teacher specializing in the area of literacy and social justice in NJ. She is an advocate of equity and academic excellence in schools as much of her research focuses on equalizing educational opportunities for members of the urban youth. She is known for her innovative approach to leadership and instruction, connecting experiences with real life initiatives that deeply impact society. She has extensive experience leading successful programs of change, mentoring educators, developing leaders and conducting engaging seminars.
Dr. Jack is also the host of the podcast, Reconstruct Ed, in which she delves deep into issues impacting the educational sector, discussing alternative ways and innovative methods to reconstruct and transform archaic educational practices with school leaders, teachers and the most critical vocie of all in education-students!
