Roseann Canfora, Ph.D.
Adjunct Faculty,
Department of Leadership and Administration
Dr. Roseann Canfora's work as a classroom teacher inspired her to pursue graduate work in school-community relations and in school communications in K-12 leadership. Her success as Chief Communications Officer for the second-largest school district in Ohio--a district serving the highest level of children of poverty in the nation--earned her numerous awards and invitations to share her expertise at national conferences of the Council of the Great City Schools (CGCS). Her expertise in crisis communications led to her invitation to assist the Broward County Public School District's Public Information Office with communications and media relations following the school shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. She is a frequent contributor to CGCS workshops and co-authored a COVID Communications Toolkit for K-12 School Administrators in 2020. Her experience in higher education includes her service as an adjunct professor at Kent State University and Cleveland State University where she has taught Media, Power & Culture and Effective Communication for School Administrators.
