Dr. Sandra R. Johnson currently works for New Mexico State University where she is an instructional consultant assisting faculty in moving their face-to-face content to an online format following best practices and universal design principles. She also teaches for the College of Education for the Online Teacing and Learning graduate certificate program.
With 25+ years as a professional educator, Dr. Johnson's background spans the K-20+ spectrum with 18 years in the classroom (preschool, high school, and higher education) and 10 years in providing professional development focused on quality in online education.
Dr. Johnson holds an Online Teaching and Learning Certificate as well as certifications in using the management systems of Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas and for blended learning. She has won the Online Teacher of the Year Award from Innovative Digital Education and Learning located at the State of New Mexico public education department as well as the Online Teacher of the Year Award from her local school district. Dr. Johnson is a Crimson Scholar at New Mexico State University where she continues her educational endeavors.
