I am an adjunct faculty at American College of Education. I am also an adjunct faculty of bilingual and ESL education at UT Permian Basin where I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in bilingual and ESL education as well as research methods. I hold a PhD in ESL, Technology, and Teacher Education (Curriculum & Instruction) from Texas A&M University where I taught INST 362 (ESL Methods I) to pre-service teachers. I have received multiple awards, grants and scholarships including Tan Ah Yong scholarship (TAMU), Texas Education Public Grant, CEHD Research Grant (TAMU) and MidTESOL K-12 award. I have published and presented on language and identity at various international conferences like American Association for Applied Linguistics, TESOL International Convention, American Association for Curriculum and Teaching, etc. I hold multiple teaching certificates including TESOL: Training the Trainers and TESOL Leadership Development from TESOL International Association and a 120-hour TESOL certificate from Texas A&M University.
