Dr. Tara Wells, Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Teaching & Learning, has 20 years of experience working in public education as an elementary teacher, building-level administrator, and district-level administrator. These experiences include developing an educational program for PK-5th grade students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as a district-wide Early Childhood Pre-K Program in her elementary school. As the Director of Elementary Education, she managed the Title I program, and provided professional development focused on professional practices, instructional methodology, and curriculum development. In addition, she led the Teaching for Effective Learning Program, which provided a platform for teachers to conduct active research and collaborate to improve student achievement. Tara holds a BS and MS in Elementary Education, an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. She is passionate about supporting educators, and she is proud to be joining the ACE team!
