Brandy Kamm, Ph.D.
Adjunct Faculty,
Department of Leadership and Administration
My name is Dr. Brandy Kamm. I have taught in Doctoral programs for Colleges of Education for the last 15 years. I have been working in the educational field for the last 24 years. I began as an 8th grade history teacher, then moved on to be a Dean of students, Assistant Principal and Principal of a large middle school. I have worked as a State level accountability consultant working with all administrators in regards to compliance and development of accountability standards. I have worked at the University level for the last fourteen years, and I truly enjoy working with adult learners.
I spent several years working as an educational consultant for schools and school districts regarding high stakes testing, accountability, and gifted education. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Stetson University in Secondary Education. I attained my Masters of Education from the University of Central Florida in Educational Administration. I have a Specialist of Education degree from the University of Florida in Educational Law. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership, from the University of Florida, and have been working with many school districts to help prepare beginning teachers. I have conducted a great deal of research in the areas of Educational Leadership, gifted education, Middle School education, online educational models, high stakes testing, Common Core Curricula, Organizational Leadership, technology integration, and Special Needs Education. I have presented at various Educational Leadership Training Institutes (LTI I and II) as well as the National Middle School Conference and research integration for Gifted Child Quarterly.
I love to run and do weight training, as well as a competitive Martial artist. I have three children, with whom I am experiencing the gifted education experience from a parent perspective.
I am truly a lifelong learner and I hope to inspire others to have that same passion. I enjoy sharing knowledge and experiences with others, and I find joy in the discovery of new ideas and concepts through research. I look forward to sharing this wonderful journey with you.
