Dr. Jessica Place recently retired from teaching high school English (she is a 20 year veteran teacher). Jess has taught grades 9-12, both honors and on-level classes. She is gifted certifited and is also AP Lang and AP Lit certified. In addition, Jess has worked in the co-taught classroom setting for a number of years. Jess has a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction.
She earned her RYT200 yoga teacher's certification two years ago. In addition, she is co-owner of North Georgia Mindfulness Project, a small business dedicated to teaching mindfulness and meditation strategies to various groups and individuals. NGMP has created and facilitated courses for teachers, recovering addicts, parents, teens, and many others.
Two months ago, she opened a pop-up yoga studio called Authentic Yoga Studio. Jessica is a married mother of two young daughters (ages 6 & 8) and lives in Georgia. She enjoys yoga, meditation, reading, Netflix, and spending time with her family and dogs.
