Karen Ouzts, Ph.D.

Over the past 25 years Dr. Ouzts promoted, developed, and directed RN BSN programs, both on campus and at a distance. As an early adopter of distance learning options for students, Dr. Ouzts successfully developed programs with equal access for students across the rural state of Wyoming. By working with other partners across the state access increased for all levels of nursing education across Wyoming and the nation. She served as the BSN Program Director for a national online program for eleven years and now teaches part time at the doctoral level at ACE. As an Advanced Public Health Nurse (PHN) she contributed to the newest revision of the American Nurses Association PHN Scope and Standards of Practice (2022).
