Dr. Karisa King joins as Adjunct Faculty. Karisa earned her EdD in 2021 from Walden University in Reading, Literacy, and Assessment. She has a Mater's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Karisa has +12 years in education with interests in English Language Learners and Response to Intervention. Her experience includes English Language Learner Teacher, Reading Specialist, Literacy Coach, 4th-grade and 1st-grade teacher. Karisa shares her knowledge and insight on implementing the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol in professional development. Karisa is excited to join the ACE team.
