Lisa Ware, DHA
Department of Healthcare
I received my bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Norfolk State University. I received my master's degree in Health Administration from A.T. Still University and my doctorate, which is in Health Administration from Capella University. Upon graduation from Norfolk State, I began to work for a Community Health Center in Newport News, Virginia. We provide medical care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. I loved working there for so much that I now have over 27 years of management, health information, and healthcare compliance experience.
In my spare time, I love to go for walks on nature trails, play hidden object games on my computer, to read and just enjoying the company of my family. I love teaching as it helps to broaden the mind to the endless possibilities in life and to help prepare the future leaders of our nation.
