Dr. Marty L. Cummings is joining our ACE team serving as an adjunct faculty member, in the Department of Leadership & Administration. Marty is a native of Georgia bringing 25 years of educational experience and a “team spirit” as he enters the ACE family. He has worked as a Science and Mathematics teacher in the public school system as well as served as Dean of Instruction, Assistant Principal of Instruction, Associate Campus Dean, Interim Campus Dean, First-Year Experience Program Coordinator, Department Chair, and Basketball Coach. Marty earned his Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Argosy University in Sarasota Florida. Marty served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Science Teachers Association as the Vice-President and Middle School Representative for the state of Georgia. He developed online courses, campus-based courses, and served as a textbook reviewer for Holt, Rhinehart, & Winston Publishing Company. Marty published articles for “Observations” which is the quarterly magazine for Georgia Science Teachers Association. Marty currently resides in Hampton, Georgia. He loves to read, travel, and coach/play basketball. He has one dog, Romeo, and one cat, Shadow and loves to spend quality time with his family.
