Melissa Bennett, DNP
Core Faculty,
Department of Nursing
I've been a nurse for over 30 years focusing primarily in the long term and long term acute care arena due to my love for geriatrics! I am passionate about developing nurse leaders and supporting professional growth. I am active as a member of our parish advisory council and am an appraiser for Pathways to Excellence through ANCC.
Personally, my husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2020. We have three adult children, one of whom is a BSN almost MSN/ MBA nurse with one grandson and one granddaughter! We have a daughter in the United States Air Force, stationed in Oklahoma, and our son is expecting to graduate with his PhD from Berkeley in May 2020.
I love to garden, read, waterski, cook and workout! My favorite workouts are HIIT, Tabata and Sculpting.
