Dr. Michael Jazzar holds a doctorate with high honors in educational leadership from Michigan State University, where he was awarded the distinction of the Don O. Tatroe Memorial Scholarship.He has held both faculty and administrative posts in higher education, and his experience spans multiple roles as university professor and college administrator and, at the secondary level, as board member, superintendent, principal, and coordinator overseeing complex alliances between major universities and 22 school districts. He has also served as a director of curriculum and grants.
As an administrator, Dr. Jazzar has developed programs and institutions in both rural and urban settings, as well as in traditional and online environments, both nationally and internationally. From 1980 to 1984, he served in the Gulf region as superintendent of a school district. More recently, he assisted in establishing the Western Michigan University Leadership Academy, a nationally-acclaimed institute noted for its success rate among graduates who progress directly into administrative roles.
In his academic career, Dr. Jazzar has authored three recognized books and published multiple book chapters and numerous articles in top-tier journals. He has served on the editorial boards of scholarly periodicals and on the advisory councils of both professional networks and educational organizations.
Dr. Jazzar is trilingual and manifests a career-long commitment to multicultural learning and teaching.
