Vanessa Minick obtained her B.A. in English as well as her M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. She started her career as a high school English teacher and then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading and Language Arts Education from the University of South Florida. After spending over ten years teaching a variety of courses to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in the in-person and online formats while also supervising student interns at all levels of internships in K-6 classrooms, she decided to return to her K-12 roots and has spent the last seven years teaching Language Arts to middle school students while also working with students from preschool through eighth grade during the summer months. She loves living in sunny Florida with her three children and looks forward to continually refreshing her teaching practices to stay current in the field while sharing her knowledge with her students at the American College of Education.
