Tuition FAQ

  1. What if I need to make arrangements for payment?

    Course costs must be paid in full prior to the start of class; otherwise, access to online coursework will be denied and you may be administratively withdrawn.

  2. How do I pay my bills?

    All tuition and fees are due on the Friday prior to the first day of each course via the following methods:

    Method 1: Credit Card

    Payments by credit card can be made online in your MyACE Student Portal account. From the ACE homepage, choose "Student Experience," then "Current Students." Click on "My Account." You will be asked for your username and password, which was created when you filled out your College application. (For questions about your login information, contact Student Support.) Select the "My Finances" menu and the "Make a payment" link.

    Method 2: Checks or money orders made payable to American College of Education

    All checks or money orders should be mailed to:

    While credit card payments are immediately reflected on your account, checks sent by mail may not be received in time to begin your course. If your check or money order has not reached our office or lockbox and has not been processed before the first day of the course, your payment will be subject to a Late Fee (fee payable by credit card only).

    If your check or money order has not reached us or has not been processed by the third day of the course, you will be administratively withdrawn for nonpayment. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to choose the guaranteed or overnight delivery option if credit card payment is not possible.

  3. Whom do I contact if I have a hold on my record?

    For financial holds, please contact the Student Services at or 1-800-280-0307, option 1.

    Diplomas, official transcripts, or program completion verifications to state agencies will not be issued until all financial obligations are paid in full.

  4. Can I use federal financial aid?

    Federal financial aid is not currently accepted. However, ACE intentionally provides affordable tuition so that many of our students can pay on a course-by-course basis, and a majority graduate without student loans. Qualifying students also have the option to arrange a loan through a private lender. See the payment options page for details.

  5. Are there any international fees?

    No. International students pay the standard application fee of $50 for master’s degree programs and $100 for doctoral and specialist programs, just as United States students do.

  6. What if I have a question that is not answered here?
