Amplify Dual Credit Pathways at American College of Education

With new requirements set forth by the Higher Learning Commission, dual-credit and Advanced Placement teachers need an affordable path to fulfillment. Our solution is ACE Amplify.

Under HLC’s new guidelines, educators teaching dual credit courses need to hold a master’s degree and 18 graduate-level credits in their respective content area, or they must obtain a master’s degree focused in that content area. Depending on where you are in your career, ACE has several solutions to meet your needs:

Individual Courses, or Certificate in Content Area Instruction

Ideal for educators who already have a master's degree and only need a few courses to meet HLC requirements, or who need all 18 credits. Students will enroll as Students-at-Large to complete individual courses and/or the certificate. Students will choose one of the following 8 focus of study options (a total of 6 courses to complete the certificate program).

M.Ed. in Advanced Studies

Perfect for educators who need to earn their advanced degree in a certain content area to meet HLC requirements. This program contains a clustering of six courses as a major discipline, and four courses for a focus of study, giving students options to tailor their learning to meet their individual needs.

If you've already earned your master's degree, and you want to take your dual-credit coursework to a higher level, our Ed.D. and Ed.S. programs may be the ideal pathway for you! We offer an Ed.D. in Leadership with several focus of study options, and an Ed.S. in Leadership.
