ACE Welcomes Transfers from the National Institute for STEM Education
American College of Education is pleased to welcome all transferring students from the National Institute for STEM Education's certificate program! A top choice for working educators, American College of Education is regionally accredited by the Higher
Learning Commission, and is a fully online institution offering graduate-level certificates, master's degrees, and doctoral and specialist degrees in Education.
Our STEM-focused programs help educators hone their skills and content area knowledge for stronger STEM instruction in the classroom. Program options include:
As you decide if you'd like to turn your NISE STEM certificate into a full degree, we hope you'll see what sets us apart from other programs:
When you transfer to American College of Education, you'll benefit from significantly lower tuition rates. Our certificate and master's programs are just $235 per credit hour, while doctoral program tuition is $306 per credit hour. We're up to one-third the cost of comparable competitor programs.
ACE is number four in the nation for M.Ed. degrees conferred.* We also have some of the best graduation and retention rates in the country, at 75 percent and an average of 84 percent for master's programs, respectively.** The current national graduation
rate is 50-64 percent,*** and the average retention rate is 72 percent.
Our core faculty all have doctorates, but they don't exist in an ivory tower. Our faculty have current, relevant experience to enrich the knowledge you gain from their instruction.
Our programs are available entirely online, 24/7. The Internet doesn't close at 7 p.m., so your access to your courses shouldn't either. Listen to your lectures, submit your assignments, and complete your degree on your schedule, not ours.
Make a comfortable transition.
Our dedicated Enrollment team is ready to assist you. If you have questions about the transfer process, our school, or our programs, please call 1-800-280-0307 and select option 2 to speak to an enrollment counselor today! You can also chat online with
a counselor at your convenience.
What a fellow transfer student has to say about ACE
"I completed my Master of Education in Educational Leadership at ACE [in] September 2015 after transferring most of my coursework. I know a few teachers who had gone through the program and received their degrees from ACE, and I was reassured because
ACE is accredited, and I had a personal contact who had both completed the program and successfully landed an administrative position.
My advice for other transfer students is to remember the program is well worth paying for courses out of pocket...I graduated without any debt….I’m thinking of going right back in January." – Sherika Guidry-Simon (Ed Leadership, '15).
* Based on 2012-13 Conferred Degrees IPEDS data.
** American College of Education 2015 Assessment Report. Retention rate is defined, by ACE, as the percentage of all degree-seekers enrolled at some point who remain actively enrolled as of January 2nd of the following year.
*** The Council on Graduate Schools Master’s Completion Project (2013)
"By earning an ACE master's degree, I feel more prepared to teach. My degree has prepared me to teach other educators about technology and how to integrate it into their own classrooms."
