Stephanie Hinshaw honored with Outstanding Leadership Award
Chief Marketing Officer
American College of Education congratulates Stephanie Hinshaw, senior vice president of academic affairs, for being recognized with the Outstanding Leadership Award from the United States Distance Learning Association. She received the award Thursday evening at USDLA’s 2020 International Distance Learning Awards, held in conjunction with the organization’s 2020 Virtual Conference.
The USDLA’s Outstanding Leadership Award recognizes an excellent level of performance from an individual leader who displays leadership through mentoring, sharing and collaboration. The leader must also be active in the field of distance learning through professional affiliation and external collaboration.
Hinshaw joined ACE in 2014 as the senior director of registration and student services. She’s held her current role since 2017, leading ACE’s academic and student affairs teams. She’s currently finishing her doctoral program at Creighton University and, as part of her research, has become a popular speaker on the topic of toxic leadership.
“Stephanie’s guiding principle is to always put the best interest of students at the forefront of every decision we make,” ACE President Shawntel Landry said. “We are grateful for her dedication to ACE and are very proud of what this award says about her contributions to the college and her impact on the field of online learning nationally.
