Transfer to American College of Education! We'll help you through the process.

Welcome! You've worked hard for the credits you've earned. At American College of Education, we'll help you put those credits to work in our affordable online degree programs and professional development coursework in education and healthcare.

We know you may have earned credit previously at ACE, or from another regionally accredited and equivalent institution that's relevant to one of our degree programs. We'll accept your earned credits if they meet the standards we've established for the college and our degree programs.

Credit Transfer from ACE to ACE

Credits earned in ACE programs, except bachelor's programs, are transferable to other programs as established by the general guidelines. A student:

  • Admitted as a Student-At-Large may receive credits for courses taken in that enrollment. A completed certificate program at ACE may transfer credits into a degree program which meet the general requirements

  • Requesting admission into the M.A.T. program may transfer credits earned in the Transition-to-Teaching program which meet the general requirements
  • Seeking a dual degree receives credit for courses required for both programs
  • Seeking to “change programs” receives credit for those courses required for both programs contingent upon final grade earned in the course
  • Admitted into the doctoral program from the master’s level may transfer a four- course concentration equivalent to a specialization at the doctoral level
  • Seeking to change from an ACE Ed.S. to the Ed.D. program, will receive transfer credit for all course credit meeting the general requirements

The first step in the process is simple. Please complete the first page of ACE’s application, which will create an online record and allow us to do a transcript review.

Next, you can complete the Request for Transcript Evaluation and upload any documents for review. Our admissions team will conduct a full review of all transcripts submitted, so please make sure to include all of your transcripts to receive an accurate review.

Many of the credits that you have earned from an accredited institution can be transferred to ACE if a grade of C or better was achieved. ACE’s transfer credit policy is a good resource for more detailed information.
